Question Opinions from 2500HD owners please...

Last Wednesday I picked up a new '15 Silverado 2500HD 4x4 Z71. I was just out crawling around underneath of it trying to figure out a way to install my camper's rear view camper system, when I noticed the lower A-arms are resting on the bump stops. Please see the attached picture. Is this normal? This is the first truck I have ever owned that I have seen this. Usually there is some space between them. The truck has less than 400 miles. Should I take it back and have the dealer adjust the torsion bars? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

That's normal. You want space on your rear bump stops because it's a leaf spring suspension. The front torsion bar set up works differently than you're used to, you don't want space when the truck is sitting, well actually you want about 1/16". BTW, they're called compression stops on this type of suspension.

Don't know what you are towing with it but make sure you give it a good 10K miles to break in before complaining to your dealer about how whimpy the truck is. I bought my 2015 2500HD in January and we went on a trip in March and I was very disappointed in it over my 2012 model. Come to find out I didn't give it enough break in time. I have close to 20K miles on it now and it pulls like a boss. Best of luck with your new ride!

I definitely don't have 1/16". If anything they are compressed a bit. So should I make the dealer turn them up a bit and realign?

If they are compressing I would take it in and have the torsion bars adjusted. If the dealer says they are fine I'd ask to see the setting guidance they are going by. Also, I always try to have about a half tank of fuel whenever adjusting the torsion bars. It's a happy medium for setting the height so both sides are the same. If you are full or empty when you adjust them, you will see a larger difference at the other extreme
