Yellowstone road condition report

We are planing a trip to Yellowstone in June. Was wondering if anyone knows the road conditions from Rawlins, Wy to West Yellowstone, WY via US 287, and West Yellowstone, WY to Cody, Wy via US 287/20/191 to US 14/16/20. I am not sure about roads that would not be good to tow the 5er over. I can also go north out of West Yellowstone and hit I90. We will be pulling a 35ft 5er. I have read some of the roads in Yellowstone were redone in the past few years. Thanks in advance, any other suggestions and tips for Yellowstone area would be appreciated.

I would assume to go right through the park like you are originally thinking. Thats what I am going to do this summer with my 38' toy hauler when I go from W. Yellowstone to Cody. I was in Yellowstone 2 years ago and the roads are in great shape and would be an easy drive with a trailer compared to the roads we deal with out here in CA.

Isn't Rawlins South of Yellowstone? No reason to go North. There are a couple more options.

We took that route last year. We actually stayed in Cody at the Ponderosa CG and did day trips into Yellowstone. We had no problems and you would not have any problems driving from Cody to Yellowstone if you are pulling your camper. Ponderosa is a nice cg and lots of things to do in Cody. We stayed at the Cheyenne KOA and in Thermopolis on the way do Cody.

Thanks everyone. The way they looked on Google Earth they looked okay, just needed a second opinion from some of you that have been across theses roads lately.
