Dometic RM2351 cooling issue

We have been having an issue with the fridge maintaining temp.
Overnights it will cool down to a normal fridge temp (34 - 37).
But during the day it will struggle and the temp will jump up to 50 - 60.
Definitely not good for perishable foods.

I purchased a Titan 12v fridge ventilation cooling fan.
I am preparing to install it in the upper vent area.
One odd thing I see is this board. (see below)

I don't know how far down it goes, but it is not in front of the propane lines in the lower vent area. It seems to be only secured with one screw in the middle, at the bottom edge of the opening.

I am curious if anybody else has this board.

I want to mount the Titan fan in that area. I am not sure if I could secure the fan to the top edge of that board. Possibly notch the board so I could mount the fan to it, and make it very secure so it won't fall down or fall out.

Any suggestions from others that have installed a fan like this would be very helpful.
TIA

That board is to help direct the air through the coils at the top. It looks to me like the gap between the board and the coils is too wide. I would mount the fan to the vent cover.
