Unhappy Cougar Half Ton slide

We just purchased a Cougar Half Ton and the slide intermittently stops in and out. We have checked switch and its ok. The alignment appears ok. We have looked for obstruction the best we can. Any thoughts?

There is a "automatic reset 12 volt circuit breaker" mounted on the bulkhead, just behind the tongue of your trailer. If your battery is not fully charged (or is defective) the low voltage will cause the amperage to increase and that circuit breaker may be "opening to protect the motor from overamperage"....

Check the two circuit breakers on the bulkhead, one of them may be what's causing the intermittent slide operation. It's probably not the slide, but could be a bad circuit breaker or an issue with the battery or the connections (wiring crimp connectors) or the ground system connection to the trailer frame.

Could you help me with this? I just tried opening my slide for the first time (22RBSWE) and it made it like 4 inches before it got stuck.

Battery power only. I'm not able to move the slide or awning at all.

No noises, just silence when I hit the touch screen. All lights and such work.

I don't understand what I'm looking for in the post above that helped you.

We replaced both circuit breaker ($8 automatic reset breaker) from NAPA and it solved the slide problem. I would guess one is for slide and 1 for awning? We just replaced both anyway, ours were corroded

Check the voltage at the battery terminals (using a volt meter) while someone else is trying to extend the slide. It's possible you do not have enough charge on the battery to do the work.

It is recommended you be plugged into shore power while extending slides. If that isn't available then stay plugged into your truck with the motor running.
