Recarpeting a 5er
I'm looking at our 6 year old 5er, which we dearly love, and I'm thinking that the only thing it needs to make it truly good as new, is to replace the carpeting throughout.
Obviously there would be a lot of piecing in the bedroom area, and I'm not sure that I'd remove the bed entirely to use one piece of carpet under it, or just piece around it.
As for the dinette slide, I have a local carpet place that can do the edge bead required, so removing the breakfast nook and the daveno would allow a one piece fit there.
What has me puzzled is how the edging was done on the main floor carpeting where it meets the kitchen linoleum. There's no beading of any kind, but I can't tell if the carpet has been just folded under, or glued in some way.
Has anyone ever tackled such a job?
