Reverced Polarity

Slowly but surely I have been upgrading all bulbs to LEDs. All marker and tail lights were first with no problems. This weekend I started on "Docking", porch, front utility and "Scare" lights. Most automotive bayonet style LEDs are dc only. Five of the six fixtures I wanted to change were wired backwards so LEDs would not work until I corrected polarity. A simple job of just changing bulbs turned into half a day of removing complete fixtures, swapping wires and re-caulking and reinstalling lights. I thought I would pass this info on if someone else tries LEDs and they don't work. The incandescent bulbs are not effected by reverse polarity.
Looking on the bright side(pardon the pun) at least I know the lights are sealed properly now. Hank
