Ran same test again

attaching generator did not change result. Under "6/7hold" mode:

1). slides comes in fine though you can hear the left right side motor work an extra second to pull it in completely after the left side has finished.

2) goes out with an audible clunk noise from left side and obviously not evenly.

3). Motor flash code has 2 flashes indicating "battery drop out". However, as all motors are turning, I'm not sure exactly what that could mean.

There are 2 different color LED’s.

WITHOUT pressing the button 6 times, try to run the slide out. If it stops then read the number of blinks on BOTH LEDs.

I run it out till it stops, as fast as I can get under there, I only see a solid green light. No red light at all. and nothing blinks

No pre-6/7hold. Just straight run out.

Ok. Now you need some help. Can you have someone press the button on the wall as you watch the controller?

When the slide is moving, both the red and green LEDs should flash. Does only one flash?

I believe both were flashing until it stopped, however, I'll go run the test again.

Ok. Now if you can reach the controller, look for the connections marked “motor 1” and “motor 2”.

Unplug them and switch them. At this point “IN” will be out and “OUT” will be in.

Press the button and tell me if the problem switches sides, or the same side has issues.

You have an issue that needs to go back to the dealer.

Schwintek slides do not like being stopped without a complete movement, so try this: with the slide fully retracted, press the extend button for 3 seconds, then press and hold the retract button until the humming STOPS. Repeat 2 times, then hold the extend for 5 seconds, retract until the humming stops.

At this point the room should be re timed, Post the results.
Quick question.
I have schwintek bedroom slide which is extended and doesn't want to retract correctly. Can I use this method by extending fully?

Re timing should work with the slide either fully extended or fully retracted.

Seems to have worked. Not sure it’s perfectly evenly retracted but it’s not sticking out 5 inches on one side now. I’ll mess with it more when I start actually using her.
Thank you Sir, you are a wealth of knowledge!!

Your welcome, sometimes you have to repeat the procedure when the room is at the other end of travel. The controller has to “learn” both ends.

For what it's worth, damn near everyone who buys a new RV gets taken. Any mass produced RV is junk. Be prepared to work on your unit and some of the sting will go away. Unfortunately the RV industry has consistent sales as to not have to be concerned about quality. I have a friend who works at a Jayco dealership and he said the dealers are fed up with the amount of issues that are inherent with the new trailers. He said the manufacturers are short on labor due to COVID and the economy and are rushing the trailers out the door. The manufacturers expect the dealerships to fix the problem.

Unfortunately if it turns into a warranty repair, independent shops can’t do Keystone warranty work.

True, but almost everything in or on the trailer is actually warranted by that items manufacturer... which isn't Keystone, they just assemble the various components and act as a go between for a year.

I actually wonder if even the walls are really warranted by Keystone.
