When I was camping a few weeks ago I had my new zero g hose for my drinking water and I had a old white hose for a utility hose.. as I was cleaning up it suddenly occurred to me that everyone within sight would assume I was using my drinking water hose for cleanup. I will not be doing that again

The guy I witnessed remove his drinking water hose from the side of ghe camper so it wasn't an "old hose". With that being said I wouldn't use an old drinking water hose gor fesr of getting it mixed up.

I have a few things to do to get ready for my next camping trip and that’s one of them.

I use the KISS method. Fresh water hose is white with blue stripe. Poop hose is brown.

I'm sure you mean well.

Spend the money and get full hook up.you wount be exposed to the dump station croud. Its the same when you go to some restaurants. The bathroom are filthy with wet floors and you track it back to your table and enjoy you $100 dinner. And leave a generous tip.its not only happening at campgrounds it's all over.the sign says employees must wash hands before returning to work and no soap in the bathrooms.

Yup, I've done it for 22 years with next to no hassle. But people who camp a lot more than me, in places a lot wetter than I like, build up abrasive rust inside the bumper that contributes to embarrassing and unhygienic accidents when the tube is used.

Yeah, tossed my own hoses out last year after seeing a pinhole leak, 4 year old rig! Got some far better quality hoses with caps I put on to compress the hose before storing it, if it isn't compressed when I get it out I will know I have a problem, plus the moisture inside the hose stays there and doesn't drip into the hose storage tube.

A few years back I had to replace the sewer line at my house. They put a 6" cleanout about 15' from the house. I added a 4" reducer and Walla!! I don't dump at public dump stations any more. I can take my time and do it right. As a bonus, the sloshing about on the way home makes the milkshake into chocolate milk and it all flows out nicely.

Same here, sewer cleanout low to ground at end of the driveway. Just need to use the poop caddy for the black tank flush and pull it down driveway. Get some funny looks from neighbors but yes, clean and no lines!
Doing wastewater for 40+ years: "it might be brown to you, but its green to me" or "ahhh smells like money"

Wow! If you are camping only at full hook-up sites, you are missing out on a lot of really fantastic locations, campgrounds, state parks, and some of the greatest places imaginable.
I''ve seen some pretty nasty things happening at dump stations too. Some of the best conversations I've had with fellow campers have happened at the dump station too.

Same here. When I'm putting the camper up for a while, I can take my time and rinse the black tank clear, if I want and not be in anyone else's way.
