How long does a tank of propane last?

I know it depends on how much you use it but.....Just had my first bottle filled after 2 seasons. We don't use the heat much so the only thing using it is the fridge when going down the road, water heater and stove. Is 2 years a long time? I did have a nice conversation with the guy that filled the tank. Retired after 30 years with the gas company and opened his own little hardware store. Explained everything you'd wanna know about how a propane tank and filling stations work, pretty interesting.

That sounds about right to me. With 2500 mi. of fridge on gas, one month of hot water for showers (electric the rest of the time) Cooking and BBQ and one or two nights of heat I use about 4.5 gal. ..... a little more than half a tank. If your not using heat it seems to go a long time.
