Several other folks have already asked this question in just the past few days. I suggest looking over several of the threads for further info and details.

The short answer to your question, however, is that the bypass is on the back side of the hot water heater, regardless of what brand and model unit you have. They are all in the same place.

To better understand bypasses, download and study this file:

There have been quite a number of campers who have recently asked the same question so there is lots of information already on the forum which should help you locate it. If you do a forum search, you should be able to browse through all of posts and threads about this topic and find what you are looking for.
In addition to what the others have already said, you may have to remove a panel or a drawer to locate it.

On my Hideout, the bypass was just off the WH located in the rear bedroom in the bottom of the armoire. I had to remove the 4 phillips head screws and panel to get to it. Good luck!

I have a 291TG ( baby brother to the 303TG) and our layouts are virtually the same.
As soon as you get in the main door, the cupboard down by your feet near the sink has a panel that needs to be removed. Then you will see the HW tank. There is only one shutoff valve to by pass the tank. Th top of the tank (hot side) has a built in valve. So when you bypass, nothing will go into the tank anymore and it will not seep back into the tank from the top.
Remember to pull the anode rod on the outside of the trailer to actually drain the HW tank.

Also remember that after you suck some RV anti freeze through all of the hot and cold lines (including the outdoor kitchen), check the two low point drains. They will need to be opened up to allow some anti freeze tonget into them

Finally, do not forget to blow some air into the black water sprayer port. You cannot get any anti freeze into that.

Thanks DEW, I didn't have to take the cover off the panel. I have a set of drawers which I just removed the bottom drawer and taadaa, there was the bypass. Thanks again for the help.
