Equa Flex rubber suspension

We just purchased a NEW 2008 Keystone Laredo 315RL. We really liked the floor plan and it had every thing we were looking for but wished it had the Equa Flex suspension. Is it possible to add this to this unit to help absorb more road shock? Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum. Hankpage, one of our members, has E-Z Flex and will most likely be able to shed some light on your question about adding Equa Flex to your suspension.

Hayseed, Welcome to the forum. Equa-flex and EZ- Flex both work on the same principal. I installed the Dexter EZ-Flex http://www.dexteraxle.com/e_z_flex_suspension kit including wet bolts and bronze bushings on my 07 Cougar this fall. I'm looking forward to testing them on the East coast's I-95's potholes the end of this month. The equalizers and shackles are much better made than stock and being able to grease bolts and bushings should help them last much longer. If you can wait till April I will let you know how much they improved the ride on my 2500 mi. test trip. Trailair (Equaflex) and Dexter (EZ-Flex) both seem to be well made products.
Compare original to replacement

In 5000 mi. the original nylon bushings were badly worn.
If you search for Dexter E-Z Flex in MODS & UPGRADES you should find my post on the complete install with photos.

Equaflex suspension

I have a 2011 Avalanche with the Equaflex suspension. The shackle bolts have grease fittings but I can't get grease in either one of them. Seems like they are plugged. Fittings are clear. Everything is clean...no rust. Anybody help be on this? THks...Al

Zert fitting

Albertr -

As you see, I have the Alpine. I had one zert fitting that I don't think would take grease with even a million pounds pressure (Imperial measurement system there). One quick visit to the auto parts store yielded a package of new zerts plus a half dozen spare zerts! Got the metric crescent wrench out, and in less than a minute, the new zert was in place and taking grease! It is just the standard zert fitting, but if you have problems finding them, PM me your address and I'll mail (post) you a couple. Can't you see the Canada Post customs guy looking at the green tag thinking "zerts?!?!".

Ron

(From your ID, I have made an assumption. Forgive me if I am incorrect.)
