I've owned Dometic fridges for a long, long time, and have spent an inordinate amount of time rigging up ways to hold the doors open between trips and across the winter.
We found these two little blue thingies in a drawer, and wondered about them for just a minute or two until we looked them up in the owners manual for the fridge. Neat idea! Thanks, Dometic!
Helpful hint on them: If you slide them up from below the latch mechanism on the door, they seem to lock into place more securely than if you slide them down from above. You should feel a satisfying little "snick" when they latch in place.
We've found that they'll stay in place when traveling if properly installed.
