Springdale 279 slide seal

I'm having to help the seal on top of the slide out fold out and seal as the slide out is extended. I usually wait untill it has extended out except for about 6" so that i can reach over the top of the interior trim and push the rubber flap seal out. Upon retracting the slide out, i guess it folds back under itself toward the interior of the camper. If I didn't do this the seal is not laying flat on top of the slide all the way across. Has anyone encountered this? Do you know if the seal should remain laying flat or is it supposed to roll back under upon closing the slide. Thanks

My seals do the same. I bought seal lubricant in a spray can, cleaned them, lubed them, cleaned the slide sides, still does the same. I think it's just a part of being a "stubborn seal" Oh well, pushing it out of the inside when extending the slide is a small price to pay for the extra room. Maybe, just before it completely wears out, it'll start working like it should ????? Hmmmmm
