There are 3 different kinds of antenna's on RV roofs: Razzar style, Batwing, and Omni Directional.
Omni Directional is fixed, can't be moved or rotated:
Wingard-Razzar style antennas are directional and can be turned any direction by hand (or by a motor, depending on your set-up) They do have great Omni-Directional capabilities, but pointing them really fine tunes the signal. A turn handle should be on the inside roof of your camper.
The third type is the old-school original "Bat wing" antenna. They are cranked up and down from the inside of the camper and then turned to any direction by hand from the same knob assembly on the inside roof of your camper. They need to be turned front-to-back direction of the camper and then lowered all the way down when the trailer is in transit, otherwise, they stick up up and tree branches rip them off the roof.
Unless you have a Key electronics system in your camper, there is a power booster located somewhere. You turn it on for over-the-air television viewing, and make sure you turn if off when connected to campground cable.
