Here's a photo of a slide "wear bar". Note that the rubber seal that you're going to pull down to peer inside the bottom of the slide is the rubber seal that's formed onto the wear bar in this photo. When you pull it down, using a flashlight, you can see the wear bar "hump" about 3 or 4 inches beyond the rubber seal.
I use rubbing alcohol and an old wash cloth to clean my seals, then when dry, I spray them with WD40 Specialist with PTFE. If I use anything else on the wear bar, my slides jump and shudder. I clean the top and side seals with alcohol and then spray 303 on them "liberally with an old windex bottle/sprayer". I run the slides in and out while the 303 is still wet, so it "smears along the side of the slide as well as both sides of each seal.
Take a look at this photo and then when you get under the slide and pull down the rubber seal, I think you'll see "familiar looking stuff"....

In my search to learn more and possibly see what this WEAR BAR looks like I came across this video that helped shed a great deal of light on the subject and also another fix if all else fails. Just thought I was add to in case anyone else is following the discussion.

Yes, this video has been posted and rollers can be an option. I've read where they worked and sometimes didn't. One of the problems that I read about the rollers related to them rippling the darco. In your case that wouldn't be an issue. I also think with a solid slide bottom that it would hopefully be pretty easy to remedy your problem without installing the rollers.

Making even more progress, just off the phone with BAL that did confirm they are the makers of my slide. Said I will have to determine the size of my wear pad in order to know the correct size of rollers to order, said it will either be 1/2 or 3/4". Also included another video for better reference. Waiting for reply from Keystone now.

Bring your slide in a foot or so then you can see and measure your wear bar more accurately. Secondly, are you sure the slide is adjusted correctly? If it's out of what it can cause the slide to bind. Yours doesn't sound like it is but.....

Yes, unfortunately I will have to go and measure this myself, the fine folks at keystone tell me they don't even know or have records of this. This now means two trips to where I keep the unit in storage which is about 2.5hrs round trip Really wanted to have this info now so that I could order and correct on the next visit. From what BAL told me it is either going to be 1/2 or 3/4 but have no idea which.
No, I can not tell you with 100% certainty that the slide is adjusted correctly, it looks like it is to me and the cables do not have any slop.
I think I would much rather take my chances adding rollers than to get into making the cables a mess when they are in my opinion working and adjusted correctly. I'm guessing they would be worse off if I started opening that can of worms.

Yes, if they are correct and you mess with them not knowing what you're doing you have a whole nother set of issues. If they are incorrect now and causing the jerking rollers won't fix it.
As far as the height of the wear bar I doubt anyone knows until you measure them. In my mind I see big boxes of wear bars, 1/2 & 3/4 - whatever was cheaper, sitting on the floor as these things are put together. The installer just reaches over, grabs one or the other, then slaps it in. Without that you can't order the rollers.
If it were me I would just take some of the items mentioned and proceed with cleaning, waxing and lubing that slide. See if it fixes it, which I think it will. If not measure the wear bar and go for the rollers if that is what you want.
I'm attaching a link to the Norco/Bal manual so you will have it if/when you need it.

Thank you for sending the manual over, yet another thing I was trying to get keystone to send me today and no luck.
Yes fully agree, since I have to now measure, will try the lube first and see how this turns out.
Zep 45 still looks like you have to order by the case so will be trying the WD you recommended first.

The product you linked is the same as WD40 dry lube, but not the same as WD40 dry lube with PTFE.
Your can is a "step up from regular WD40" but not quite the same as the "with PTFE added" product...

If it were me I’d buy both sizes and take them with me …the rollers online are $25 a piece..ask them if you can return the ones you don’t use…to save the aggravation

Not the same, thanks John!
Thought about doing just that, ordering both sizes. Lady at BAL gave me this site and the pieces are only 9.95ea and reasonable shipping.

I wouldn’t think twice then. Order both…while your at it ask them how much a slide cable repair kit is to keep in the trailer

For the top and side weatherproofing seals, I just use the common Thetford 40015 foam. It's not a friction lube, it's a rubber dressing, just to keep them flexible from getting dry and cracking. The seals can't exert enough force to make the slide hop.

You should be able to get the WD 40 Specialist with PTFE at WalMart. The label may also say "Does Not Collect Dirt or Dust". Might have to look awhile to find it, you know how they are.
I used a lot of it on our previous Montana HC. May have also sprayed the bottom of the slide. It's good stuff to keep around the RV and at home.

The problem with the sticky seals is that they don't particularly exert enough pressure on the slide to make it hop but they do "stick" to the slide as it extends and retracts and eventually the seal tears and gets pulled in then causes it to jerk.....and they're not fun to get out.

That ticking noise sounds like your gearbox is starting to fail. Does it also make the ticking/shacking problem while coming in too? I just replaced mine for that same problem...

It does it in and out. Maybe one out of ten will be perfect with no noise. Based off the info I have received here from these fine folks and from all the videos I've seen you youtube I'm going to try lubing the wear bar and add rollers once I determine the wear bar size.
