TV Mount Location - Springdale 1760BH
We just purchased a 2021 Springdale Mini 1760BH. We were told by the dealership that given the fact that there are tv cable and power outlets in the ceiling above the “bedroom” window, that that is where the tv would mount but there was no backer sticker and they suggested it was missed (judging by the silicone issues, I think they may be right 🙄 but a chat with Keystone via social media and that answer was that they wouldn’t miss a sticker and it probably wasn’t meant to have a tv mount??
Anyway, if you have this model or similar, did you have a sticker indicating the backer location? If not, where did you mount your tv?

Here's a photo of the location. You can see the sticker where the TV mounting plate is located... If you want more photos, go to GOOGLE and search for "Springdale 1760 BH for sale". Then find the "RV Trader postings" they typically have 25-50 photos of each trailer that's listed for sale. That's where I got this photo showing the sticker location.

We have a 2021 hideout rear dining 177rd. Tv is in the same location. We had a sticker on the wall. The walkthru guy said 11x11 backing plate. However on first mount it didn't feel solid. It actually popped off the wall on a bumpy CG road. I used my stud finder and found one there. I mounted it to the stud and also got a removable bracket we take off when travelling for added protection.

John, that sticker was almost at the ceiling. Would be hard to mount that high from a clearance standpoint. Could it be mounted below that spot? How far does the backing for the mount extend? That info would help the Op. I have a small TV in our bedroom and it has an articulating mount that goes side to side and allows the TV to be turned but not up and down which I just found a stud and stuck the mount there.

George,
that was my issue as well IF there is a plate it's high. That's why I went with the stud.

I don't know, George. I was "helping the OP" by finding a photo of a trailer like his. I don't think I've ever been inside that model.

We have a 2020 springdale 1760BH and our tv is mounted in that exact location, we just made sure we bought one with the tv already mounted so we would not run into this issue. I have attached a photo showing where our tv is in case this helps

Fortunately in the mini your walls are all wood studs. You can mount the tv just about anywhere. I just wouldn’t mount a heavy tv. Your space is limited anyway, I’d stay 24” or smaller (i think anything bigger than that would be in the way) and get a new, light weight tv.

Natasha,
it is not large by any means, I havent measured it but id say somewhere between 27 in & 32 inch for tv size... you could possible do a bit larger however keep in mind the tv is fairly close to the door so to large and you will be hitting the darn thing as you enter/exit the doorway.

I just purchased a 2022 1760BH and am looking to mount a TV in the same place. Need to decide how long a screw is just right. Anyone know what size the studs are?

TV Mount
Unfortunately we ended up with a trail of holes. There was nothing being that wall. I’m not sure what was back there but we even used a stud Finder and when my husband would drill in…. Nothing. He ended up using mollys

I definitely do not want a trail of holes in the wall.
Do you know the weight of the TV you installed? The wall material does not seem to be thick enough to hold much by itself.

The wallboard on your trailer is either 1/8 or 3/16 vinyl faced luan (imported plywood). Most is 1/8' due to "ultralite weight construction". It's not sturdy enough to carry the weight of most TV's "bouncing down the road while the RV is being towed"...
Fortunately, your Springdale is a wood frame trailer, so you do have an alternative if you can't locate the "OEM backer plate".... You can simply look for the vertical rows of staples that attach the luan wallboard to the studs (to locate the vertical studs) then attach an appropriately sized piece of plywood (1/2" or 5/8") across two or three of those vertical studs, then attach your TV mount to that plywood backing plate. You can fairly easily finish the plywood to match the wall color or to match the cabinet color before mounting it on the wall.
I would not recommend just using "expanding bolt hardware" to attach a TV to the "too thin to support much weight" wallboard. You'll eventually (if not on the first tow over rough roads) find the TV laying on the floor or hanging by the coax and power cord.

It’s very light. I can probably hold it high pinched between my thumb and pointer finger. From Walmart. I think 20 inch Roku TV. It’s been there a year
