Toilet foot pedal

The foot pedal on our toilet stopped opening the ball valve at the end of our most current outing. Noticed the issue at the dump station.

It is a Dometic 300 toilet. In my searches so far, it doesn't look like the pedal itself is a replaceable item, but figured I double check here to confirm that.

I have seen a quite a few recommendations for the Dometic 320, but the spacing needed (11" from back wall) for that will not fit in my current set up, so I will either replace with another 300 or the 310 if I cannot fix the foot pedal issue. We leave again on Sunday for a week trip, so I need to get this fixed by then.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the the 310, it's what I put in my last few trailers. The 320 is elongated, which my wife does not like, therefore we have 310s. I believe the rough in requirement for it is an inch and a half further out (10") if it will fit.

Yeah, we like the elongated style in our home and the better toilet seat of the 320 model, but it won't work in the trailer. It looks like the 320 needs 11" and the 300/310 need 10" according the installation manual I found online. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the 300 and the 310 is plastic/ceramic and a couple of other minor dimensions.

You might measure. What I looked at showed the 300 at 8.5", the 310 at 10" and 320 at 11".

Here's a link to that information. The one I pulled up previously was much larger print but on page 2, figure 3, item A it shows the different rough in dimensions for the different models.

Ok, I see that in the manual now. Missed it my first time through. I did pull the existing toilet out. The center of the rough in dimension is exactly 9.75" from back wall, so it does not look like the 310 model will fit.

I picked up the 310 yesterday and it did end up fitting with almost an inch to spare, so now I wonder if I could have gotten the 320 to fit. Oh well, at least we have a working toilet again.
