Bizarre A/C question? A/C not coming out vents.

Bizarre problem here.
New ‘21 Avalanche 5er.

Vert covers on: very little airflow out-just enough to move a strip of paper.
Vent covers off: more air discharged and will move the paper strip a little more.

Stick your hand up into the ductwork and there is tons of airflow. We taped an envelope partially into the vent area to “block/siphon” some of the air movement and we start getting a decent amount of air-flow down into the rv.

Is there a “block” missing in the ductwork that forces the air out the vents?

My 2021 Alpine is the same way. I used some small rags and shoved them on the sides of the duct work and it helped on some of them. There is a lot of talk on this. We also just popped some of the covers off and it helped on some but not all of them. Its a pretty sad situation for these new campers!

Just realize the fan set to high it will run constantly whether the A/C compressor is running or not. This may help if it's freezing up, but not going to improve the efficiency of the A/C, just moving air. Running a couple portable fans would be as much, or more, help as running the A/C fan.

The ends of the ducts are just sealed with foil tape which may or may not have been done properly. I plugged mine just past the last grill with some heavy foam cut to fit. Check my thread here and also the video link in it.
