Ram 3500

I’m towing a Cougar 26RBS with a RAM 3500 6.4 hemi. And an Equalizer WD hitch. Tows like a dream, and I can carry all the cargo I want without getting close to the truck’s weight limits.

All good points. Don't forget to factor terrain and temperature. Many a vehicle doesn't make the climb on I-70 going west of Denver. 3/4 or 1 ton with diesel is a must in the mountains.

The only number that should have a discrepancy is the payload and neither the door sticker or Ford's website can give you a totally accurate number once it leaves the factory. The only way to get a true payload number is to weight the truck on a scale and subtract the truck weight from the GVWR. The truck's gross axle weights, gross vehichle weight, and gross combined vehichles weights are constants. The door sticker and Fords website records should match. If they don’t, how would you know which one is correct?
