Warranty question

Hi all,
I don't know if this has been asked before but I have a mcd blind that is broken. Bought trailer July of 20 so still under warranty. I don't want to take it to dealer. So could I contact keystone directly or should I contact dealer?

If you contact Keystone I suspect they will tell you to contact your dealer; usually warranty claims are written up by the selling dealer.

Gonna have to contact dealer...if you can buy it yourself and it’s under $100 Then it may be less hassle to just buy yourself unless you can get it done with other repairs

Thanks I wasn't sure what to do. It would be easy enough to do it myself, I would actually like to use my trailer this summer instead of it sitting at the dealer. Last time there they had it from October to march.

Work with the service manager. They shouldn't require your RV for the entire time waiting for parts etc. I've had dealerships order parts for me under warranty. You may be able to provide pictures and a description of the failure; my shade had the plastic bar on the bottom fall off. They just ordered me a new one, called me and I dropped in for the shade to be replaced.

I just worked with my on a couple small warranty items. They gave me the parts, I installed them and returned to old ones to them. They were more then happy to do that, they will probably collect the warranty labor.

Take pictures and talk to the SM.

What is broken on the MCD roll up shade? If it’s simply that the shade won’t hold a position and has fully rolled itself out you can fix this yourself with no parts usually

Earlier today I let the blind slip out of my hand and it flew up. It now pulls down but won't go back up. I haven't had a chance to look at if it's an easy fix yet just figured I'd see what would be a best way to fix it.

There are you tube videos explaining how to set the stop point and tension on MCD shades. I bet yours just lost the tension.
