Does anybody know about slide covers?

Can anybody tell me how to tighten the vinyl awning covers for the slides on my Montana 5th wheel. They seem to be loose and flap around in harder wind... What can I do to fix this problem?

I did a Google search and came up with several sites with directions for tightening the tension on RV awnings. The procedure would be the same for your slide topper - which is a variation of an awning but the same mechanisms work for both an awning and a slide topper.
The directions are too long to post here but if you do a Google search, you should find several sites which can guide you through this process. I think you will need a helper to assist you.
As I mentioned in my earlier post to you, a slack/soft tension in the roll-up mechanism may be only one cause of a flapping slide topper. They do flap to some extent in windy conditions.
