Just bought new cougar 28RBS

Hi all:

Just bought a new Cougar 28RBS! This is an upgrade from our old 18 foot trailer and wow is it big compared to our old one. love the floor plan with two growing boys.

I read A lot on this forum before buying so thanks to everyone for their input and comments.

For the seasoned veterans don't flame me but my current TV is my 2008 Dodge Durango. After reading here I was really afraid of sway but after towing home through LA without a sway bar it did just fine. Sure there was some but nothing scary. However, I will be purchasing at least a half ton in the next few months to replace the Durango. The trailer is just too big and heavy for the Durango. Until the new truck comes in we will take very short trips 20 miles or less to full hookup sites so I don't completely overload the Durango. it's pretty much maxed out with this trailer.

Again thanks to all and I will be around. hopefully for a long time.

No flames coming from here but I've made a note in my black book to check in on you in March - a few months from now. If you still have the Durango, then you should keep a fire hose close at hand.

to the forum and enjoy your new Cougar.

Just got a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 hemi 2wd with all the tow goodies (3.92 axle, tow mirrors, HD engine and tranny coolers, integrated brake control, etc.)

Not a diesel (can't afford right now) but hopefully this will serve as a sufficient TV and fire hose.

So Cal CPA-

I've removed your name from my "Black Book". You can relax now and enjoy your new TV.
