tow capacity

So I think that I have done all the math and I am close but okay on the towing for my fuzion 322. I am pulling it with my 2007 F250 6.0 diesal. Want to get some thoughts

Truck
Curb weight: 6395
GVWR 10,000
GCWR: 23,500

Trailer
Weight: 11,900
Max GVWR: 16,000 - This will include 4,000 since it is a toy hauler. i do not think that I will ever carry that weight.

Pin weight: 2895

I put the information in one of those 5th wheel calculaters and it said I could pull 14,500 with a pin weight of 3,600. All my calculations are that I am slightly over if I have the 4,000 in the toy hauler, but I know that I will never have that much weight

Thoughts appreciated

The calculated Pin is your entire Payload empty, you should be fine with the listed pin weight if it is correct.

The Max trailer weight assumes the truck is only loaded to 9,000# which is reasonable.

You will have no payload left after hooking it up. If the calculated pin weight is correct you will be over. You may well be over on RAWR if it is correct and that is a serious situation IMO. You will have to make the hard decisions but I wouldn't do it.

1. your curb weight seems low for a F250 Diesel, unless it is a standard cab short bed. My Dodge 2500 weighs about 7,000# empty with me in it.

2. The pin weight of 2,895# will leave you only about 600# for Stuff!

You are close.

I agree your curb weight is not realistic at all which makes the situation even worse

Your pin weight could be higher if you have no weight in back of toyhauler.
Most toy haulers ride better if they have weight in back as they are built front end heavy in anticipation of weight in back removing some of the pin weight.
