New Passport!

Just pulled my 2012 Passport 2650BH home yesterday and stored in machine shed until spring and impressed with workmanship ! We stayed in it the night before at dealership and pulled home to central Illinois from NW Indiana. Can't wait to begin camping next summer!

Congratulations on an excellent choice. That's what I was looking for when I stumbled on my 2590BH. It's the perfect floorplan for us and a great size.

No, but it is in the book for the camper. I actually didn't ask them as I was too overwhelmed the day I picked it up.

New Passport

Congrads on the new Passport. We just picked up our new 3180RE Passport Wednesday.
As far as the slide, you should have a flexable shaft with a 1/4" female by 1/4" male adapter. The female side goes on the moter and the male side on a drill. This will allow you to move the slide if the motor goes out. The motor is positioned on the top of the slide unit about in the middle. I believe all Passports are set up this way.
I will say, the great thing about living in Texas is that it is always camping season down here.

Yes you are correct the flexible shaft does go on the end of the motor and it is in the middle above the slide mounted to the sidewall, as you would bring the slide in it will be pushing you away from the motor, I asked my dealer about this and they had no good response for me, Also called keystone and they said they would have to go out and look at one, never got a response back.

A word of caution about using the manual slide over-ride........ If you should find yourself in a situation where you need to use this, the leads to the battery slide motor need to be disconnected before you start cranking the slide in or out. Failure to do this may cause electrical damage to the motor.

I agree i believe the passport motor has a brake on it that is electrical.

Passport

Thanks, we first saw the floor plan on a different brand but it was too heavy. We were looking at a 3100rk but then saw the new 3180RE and it was all over. Got a good deal from the dealer and the first one they got was in the decor she wanted, so it all fell in place.
