Info on 375FLR

Hello all,
We are looking into the Mountaineer 375 FLF Front Living and want to know if anyone has pros and cons. This will be our first 5th wheel, we like the layout a lot, and we will be doing winter camping (stationary in a campground) in South West Ohio. Temps can go into the teens. Some, but not huge amounts of snow, just cold. (we actually live in the Snow Belt of NE Ohio where we can get up to 160" of snow / year).

Anyway, we're interested in any input on the trailer, on using the Mountaineers in winter, etc.

Thank you in advance,
Sincerely,
Mark, Vicki, & Scout THE dog

Mark & Vicki (& Scout) -

We have several Mountaineer owners here, but a quick forum search didn't find any posts specific to the 375FLF.

All of the current Mountaineer floorplans are listed as *New*... a whole new line-up, although a few (including
the 375FLF) were added at the end of last year. Hopefully some of the Mountaineer owners will chime-in soon.

As for *Winter Camping* - there are "numerous" threads about that topic, and the general consensus is that most
RV's (regardless of how it's labeled/marketed), will need additional protection against extreme weather/COLD.
Most folks use skirting and/or some other type of insulating method to protect the water lines, pipes, etc.
Higher insulation factors [walls, floor, roof] are of some benefit, but the marketing "labels" (industry-wide) are
somewhat mis-leading. Here's some previous threads - not specific to Mountaineer, but should be helpful.

PS, I deleted your other post only because we ask that members not start 2 identical threads in different areas of the forum.

Good luck with your decision,

OK I'LL THROW IN MY TWO CENTS (it's all i have left) we have a 2010 front living room. It has been mostly trouble free. only minor stuff like trim loose and a door that needed adjusting and the tanks labeled wrong. ours had clear glass in the doors and one door is in the bathroom. wall paper for windows fixed that and tsome of the cabinets over the table and bed open upwards and have to beheld up with one hand. camping world had some strut kits and that fixed that. you will need to pry it out of my wifes cold dead hands. she loves it that much. Good luck with your search and to the forum.

Montana Mountaineer 375FLF

We purchased our 2014 Montana Mountaineer 375FLF in late May this year, and we love it! It's so nice not to have to climb stairs to use "the necessary" and it seems bigger with all that open living room space up front! We hope you've made your decision by now. Let us all know what it was. :-)
