First time out with new Tracer

Besides the last 2 weekends in the driveway we're taking out the new Tracer to the closest lake on Saturday\Sunday. We'll check water etc. then re-winterize before taking it to storage. We're super impressed so far over our Hideout we had before. Pics to come!

Congrats on your new Tracer! Sounds like your week-end drive way camp was successful! Now is the time to start a brand new tradition, right from the get-go!

For us, we celebrate the first camp-out of the year (in a real campsite .... not our site at home) by fixing T-bone steak and eggs for the very first breakfast of the year. We've been doing this for the last 25 or 27 years ... even when we tent camped. The first camping morning of the year is always T-bone and eggs.

Now, in the evening when we first arrive, it has also been our tradition to have a very simple "supper". We are usually tired, having stress let-down... being the first camp-out of the year, and usally arrive too late to fix a full blown meal. So, in the evening, we always celebrate our first camp, first night there with a glass of wine and a chunk of cheese and crackers. Now the crackers started out being Ritz, and then later they became Wheat Thins, and now we look for the gourmet crackers. We set a candle on the table, turn off all the lights, and simply enjoy each other's company while we toast to a new camping season and enjoy some wonderful cheese that's NOT something like Kraft American or Velveeta! It's always a romantic moment. When the kids were little, got got them sparkling grape juice because thats something we never normally had.

We've never missed a year yet.

Sometimes that first camp of the year was as early as January 1, and other years as late as May 31. But, it's our "tradition" now.

So now, you have a marvelous opportunity to start a new camping tradition also! Do something special the night you arrive and then do something special your first full day of camping. Make it simple enough you can repeat it every year! If you do ... in the future, during those winter months when you are caged inside your home, it will put a smile on you and a new glimmer in your eye just thinking about "it."

3 gkids with 1 on the way! That's why we upgraded a single axle rear dining was a tad too small!

Nice, ya can see why you needed a bit more space. Nice looking family. I'm sure you'll have years of fun ahead with them little gkids.

We made it out! everything was good the kitchen sink must of been put together on a Friday afternoon. EVERYTHING was loose. The main drain flange the 2 pipe fittings before the p trap and hot and cold lines. Once tightened leaks were gone. Glad the DW found them early! Had an issue with the HW heater not used to electric and gas dometic. It worked fine on Saturday then Sunday no hot water for showers. After some troubleshooting ended up being thermostat fuse link. Seems to be very common issue. I bypassed it so we could shower and dishes. Making a post with a great video I found separately.
