2nd Spare

Just received my BAL Hide-A-Spare. Also worked a good deal on a new wheel and tire at my local DT. Now I just need to get everything mounted up so I can carry the 2nd spare.

Things got a bit hairy last year when we had a flat 200 miles from home on a Sunday afternoon. That's a long way to go without a spare in NM. I slowed way down and prayed that I'd make it home. Another flat would have meant trying to limp home on 3 tires which probably would have lead to another flat. I know in many areas of the county 200 miles would have presented several options to stop for the night or pull over, but in NM that's not really the case. I will feel much better having a second spare with us. I'll post some pics once I get everything mounted up.
