Brake backing plates

Has anyone used Husky backing plates to replace their original Dexter electric brakes?

Today I pulled the passenger side front wheel on my Laredo fiver and found a leaking seal that has the shoes and magnet covered and coated.

Can get the Husky plates for about half the cost of the Dexters. Just looking for some guidance and advice. Thanks
