Brake drum burnish

The brakes I installed are self adjusting but I still adjusted them where there was a some drag . I set the gain at 10 and activating it manually at least 30 times pulling around the yard . I pulled it on the interstate set at 10 gain around 65 miles an hour manual activating half mile intervals. One side smoked the other 3 where hot but didn’t smoke . I jacked each tire and moved the star a bit tighter where there was bit more drag on the brakes. Would it be better to repeat the procedure again for better burnishing or leave it alone ?
