Ragging on UPS and Blessing Etrailer.com

UPS did it again. What you may ask? Well damaged a heavy item. I ordered a second AC unit for our Cougar thru Etrailer.



Well UPS dumped it off and the box was trashed. Actually torn in two in the middle and taped back up, all the corners bashed, see photos.


As always, the shipper has to put in the claim. When I called CS at Etrailer they told me to go ahead and open the box. Indeed there was breakage and misalignment.


Etrailer is making the claim for me and seem to be bending over backwards to make me happy. On the other hand a person cannot complain to UPS, the links all make big circles to holds and then tell you they won't talk to you.


Folks, save yourself grief and ASK for other companies to ship. I had thought this was truck shipment so I didn't ask. My bad.

I feel the same about USPS, at least in my area.

I pay for courier delivery, and the delivery service routinely assumes it has my permission to leave my junk at the Post Office, where it doesn't fit in my Post Office Shoebox and I have to lug the heavy crap home by myself.
The real insult-to-injury is that the merchants' websites always say, "Do not specify a PO Box address, we cannot deliver to PO Boxes!"

UPS used to be great here. Same little lady doing deliveries for years. When she retired someone organized a party for her at the city activity center.
I always preferred UPS to FEDEX and still do. FEDEX will routinely leave packages at my street numbers on a different street.

Etrailer has done an epic job making sure the damage product was replaced and shipped very quickly .... without damage.
