Coleman Mach 15 service port

Has anyone ever added service ports to these sealed units? If so do they make a kit?

They are not considered servicable. If the refridgerant is low or nonexistant it's because there is a leak. The EPA has frowned on "just adding refridgerant" to sealed units and I don't know of anyone that would try to patch the aluminum tubing.

It seems wasteful but Marshall is correct.

In my opinion they just create a leak where you pierce the tubing. Good luck.

Suggest you read the questions asked and answered on Amazon. Not for 410. Thing will leak you coolant out as you install it. Etc, etc.

Without a manifold gauge set, you have no idea how much your adding. It could go BOOM and then no more camping for you or your family.

We all have the ability to make choices, I hope you don’t make the wrong one. Be safe.

And a manifold is useless if you don't know what the low & high side pressures (adjusted for ambient, etc.) should be. There are some things just not condusive to diy. JMHO

Granger = piercing tap

Auto joint. Appropriate fitting to screw onto piercing tap 410 refrigerant ( usually needs ordered I have used r134 also ) piercing tap goes on low side ( bigger tubing ) pump in some stop leak top off with correct refrigerant

This is not a proper or permanent repair but should get you through your trip you need a new unit I got a week out of this method when mine **** the bed while she was packing for a trip
