First Winter with Keith

We got bored on Saturday and went to check up on Keith Keystone and the boat. While we were there we sat and enjoyed a cold one. With the rear dining windows facing South it was nice and comfy! Here's to warmer weather sooner rather than later!

What the heck is Keith Keystone? Your camper? I personally have never had the urge to name any inanimate object I have owned but to each his own. Well I do call my truck "Clunker" but that is for a good reason.

Well, the Fords I have owned, call them Ford or clunker. Call the missus' Ford, Crown Vic. Other brands (and there have been many) call them car or truck; whichever seems appropriate. My wife had a Mazda and I called it el-crapo-mobile. Got it home from the dealer and the door handle fell off on the passenger side. Seat stitching came apart in a few months; then we got a dead mouse in the bowels of the heater. Insurance paid for mouse removal and missus got yet another Crown Vic. She is on her 4th or 5th.

I bet a lot of people have names for their campers! I'll start a new poll!

For the poll- “Grit” (Ram 2500) and “Grace” 2020 Cougar half ton 23MLS. And they earned their names- maiden voyage (aside from the 70 miles home from the dealer) was over 10,000 trouble free miles, including being holed up in New Mexico and Texas during the polar vortex! Exactly four absolutely fantastic months on the road from Michigan to California and back through 16 states. What began as an escape from Michigan’s Covid shutdown morphed into the contemplation of doing this full time…or at least more part time!

I had a Chevy truck once, was enough, and called it many different names, none that could be written here~~ had a lot of practice as I had a Dam before that!

I did name my boats and had it printed in large letters on the stern so charter customers could read it~~~ Miss Guided and Miss Guided II

DW's truck, our TV, is "the beast," same as all her previous trucks. My Jeep sedan is "the pumpkin" because it's orange. (My previous Tracker was "the grape.") Our trailer is just "the Cougar."

Our boats had names that were painted on the transom. When we go anywhere (not towing) I say "do you want to take your truck or my truck?". Usually we take her truck (F150 King Ranch) as it rides better than my F250. We camp in "the trailer" and we live at "the house". I guess we're boring, or traditional or pragmatic, take your choice.

For a number of years our RV park in Titusville had a single axle Airstream, bright and shiny, named "Baked Potato." We still smile at the memory.

When the Argosy was first introduced, one of the first "OH, HELL NO" comments from the Wally Byam Caravan Club was never to allow those "baked potato owners join"....

Sounds like your Caravan Club was one of those deals that had secret handshakes and wore robes to the meetings.

Or a DRV 5th wheel owner on the Thor forum when someone answers a question that doesn't own a DRV! Talk about an exclusive club!!!
