Refrigerator keeps trying to connect to LP when connect to AC

Hi all,

I have a 2013 Passport with an Atwood Helium refrigerator. Last week, when I went to plug in the camper, I went in to turn the fridge on, but as soon as I hit the power button, it started beeping at me almost immediately saying that it couldn't connect to gas. This has never happened before, and I didn't have gas connected. The fridge is always set to "auto", so it should automatically connect to AC as long as I am plugged in. After persistently trying different troubleshooting steps, the fridge FINALLY allowed for me to manually switch to AC. My gut feeling is that the control board is on its way out, but I am not certain. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Thanks in advance.

I had something similar recently. It would not connect to AC, only gas... once the gas was gone, it died... Trouble shooting showed the board toast (rather the relay that activates AC).. A dinosaur board later and it works perfect again.

You can download the Atwood HE2 refrigerator service manual here. While not written for the "RV owner" it does contain some very good "theory of operation" and troubleshooting information. You can download it here: https://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/atwoodreefer.pdf

This link is to a more detailed document, and also contains parts information. Both together should provide most of the information you need: http://techsupport.pdxrvwholesale.co...0801-Rev-4.pdf
