Rainbow springs campground

Hello all, my wife and I will be arriving at Rainbow springs state park campground(Florida state park) on Sunday 10/30/16 and will be there till Saturday 11/05/16. It has been many years since we have camped there, from looking at the photos online it looks like they no longer have any campsite down towards the river like they used to have. We used to spend a week there just about every summer when the kids were growing up and we all loved it. We plan on getting up early on Monday morning and going to the Webster flea market and see if we can find some stuff we don't need to buy We will be camping in site #37 if any other forum members will be there, feel free to stop by and say hi.

Re: Rainbow springs campground

It's been awhile since they had camping down by the river, too much flooding down there I would think.

I would take the kayak down by car now, a bit of a walk from the office.

Penn Station bar and grill is a great Cuban restaurant at the main intersection when you get in town.

Re: Rainbow springs campground

Thanks rjsurfer, for the mention of Penn station we went there for dinner on Thursday evening and it was very good. I had the roast pork with beans and rice and my wife had a pressed cuban with fries. Very good food and friendly staff.
