This is an interesting discussion. As I have a range or girls from 6 to 17 and wife of 41. We all bring "devices". What's amazing is we really don't use them that much when camping. Seriously, I think a phone is necessary. Not leaving those at home. Next up is iPads and/or Kendle. 95% of the time used for reading. 5% for mapping and weather info. We just don't carry books anymore (don't want to overload the camper and get into THAT discussion! 😜
. We have a hand held gps we take on hikes, we throw frisbee, football, build camp fires, cook outdoors, collect bugs etc. the list is long. Nobody is wasting precious family time on Facebook, Instagram or whatever. May text a few photos to family member of us canoeing or some other activity but that's about it. Every generation thinks the next generation is going to be a complete failure. I think for the most part, we've all proven them wrong...
