Bullet leaking into trailer at city water connection. Common?

Hi
My bullet had an issue where water would run off the drip edge on the roof down the side and at where the city water connection is into the trailer. Mostly into the one storage under the bed. As it is just out of warranty I fixed the problem by sealing up were this connection is from both the inside and out. This seem to have been going in since we bought the trailer. The service people at the dealer said they have never heard of this issue before. Have you? Am I just the lucky one?
Thanks

Anytime the roof, front, back or sides has been cut open to allow the installation of a vent, light, window, or a city water connection there is always the possibility of a leak.
The collar/sleeve around the city water connection may not have been sealed properly at the factory and has, as you suspect, been leaking for some time.

While a leak at that location is a bit unusual, given the fact that water from the roof spout was dripping down onto it, it is quite possible for it to leak.

By sealing it from both the inside and outside, it should no longer leak but, like all of these exterior installations, they are all prone to leaks if not properly sealed. That's why regular checks should be made on windows, lights, roof vents, etc. to make sure that the seals "look good".
