I would be frustrated too if they lost your keys, and took your stuff. But when i take my stuff in I empty it of everything. still there is no excuse for them taking what is not theirs. But again on the flip side I run a business and I have had clients call me to tell me they've left stuff at my office and blame me for losing it, only to find out they had it all the time so you can understand their policy with regard to personal property left in trailers.

greasy fingerprints, since they weren't done with it they most likely didn't clean it for you. the other stuff you mentioned is inexcusable though.

at any rate I wish you the best of luck with your problems! I, for one, would rather fix my stuff myself to the extent possible because it is my stuff and I know it will be done right and taken care of. service guys at dealers generally don't care!

good luck brother!!!!!

Turn around

So after all day trying to get a hold of the manager at MT i finally did

The manager Doug is probably the only person there that gives a crap........

I explained everything to him and he is pretty much taking caring of everything

Customer service.

We have had a few problems with our '14 Montana on its first trip. Closet door in bedroom came apart on rough roads, trim loose in places, no cable tv reception, tank monitors not registering correctly, etc. Called several dealers (Vermont and North Carolina) but since we were only in their area for a few days, couldn't make connections. I looked up a Keystone dealer in Charleston, SC and made an appointment for when would be there. Camping World in North Charleston was very helpful. We made a list of everything we could think of and they addressed it all in one day. Two warranty issues were documented and sent to Keystone, from whom we have yet to hear. They also are replacing the airbags in my 12 year old truck at a price less than original install years ago. Can't comment on any other CW dealerships, but this is a good one.

Wasn't the city water connected when you did your PDI???
When you hooked up to city water, Did you IMMEDIATELY check for leaks????

lol my pdi consisted of a retired guy walking me around the rv and having no clue about the options my trailer had. however he was knowledgable about the antenna and toilet. Its a weird leak that comes and goes very small. im sure its not the drain because i havent actually used the kitchen sink.

either way the cabinet is toast

Personally I would not have wrote the cheque before I was happy with my PDI. Its a lot easier to get things fixed if you have not paid them yet.

trailer update

So i lost a few bucks actually not bad (or not as bad as i would think) purchased a brand new Forest River RV Stealth WA2715 from giantrv. Night and day difference

1 Customer service (from sales to the walk through) Amazing. I dont think i could list the amount of stuff on here that i learned about . The mike Thompson rv pdi was a joke

2 they installed all the towing hardware for free@@ (mike Thompson said they couldn't touch my towing hardware unless i bought new

3 no warranty issues yet.

Just night and day difference

Its sad that i had to pay additional (losing money on the trade in)for customer service but so worth it

The original poster, 04z71 has traded his Keystone RV which he bought at Mike Thompson RV for a Forest River RV which he bought from Giant RV. Since he no longer has the Keystone/Mike Thompson issues, this thread is being closed. Should there be additional comments or other issues, please start a new thread.
