Door over outdoor entertainment center

Ok here’s my problem I am short and when I open the outside door on my entertainment center it goes up so high I can’t reach it to close it back up. Ok everyone can giggle and laugh now. Ok now we got that out of the way is there enough wood in the door for me to screw a ring to it so I can put a pull strap on it. Thanks in advance. I am sure I am not the only short guy 😁

I doubt there's any wood in the door, most likely plastic inside, Filon outside, stryrfoam between.
You might attach a piece of wood on the inside with a good adhesive of your choice then add the ring or strap.

You could always attach to the latch. How you do it depends on the type of latch.

I'm 5' myself.....Have always been told that short people live longer..lol. I bought a stool on amazon that folds flat. It's handy for those vertical challenges around the camper. Also comes in handy as a foot stool outdoors when watching tv. Think Wal-Mart may have them too. Less than $10

I do have the little step stool I have one in the camper and I carry one at work connected to my tool bag. But I was probably thinking of the latch also maybe remove the screw on the inside that’s holding the latching part and finding some sort of ring to mount to it then I could put one on both side to balance the door when pulling it down. I will work on it this weekend and see I will try and post some pictures if I can.

I use a telescoping painter's pole with a small roller attached to it. Remove the roller part and voila you have a hook. Comes in handy for a lot of uses and folds to a convenient size for storage.

I have the height challenge, at 6'3" I'm always hitting my head I know, that explains a lot. Similar to Bruce I use a boat hook. Not for reaching above but rather for retrieving things from the truck bed. An 8' bed with a cap results in having to jump in and squat to get to the front.

The boat hook is useful for getting stuff from the center of the pass thru as well.

Have you tried an awning hook as in the type that is used for a manual awning? There are solid and telescoping ones. I do not have a height issue but carry one in my pickup bed to reach things. Safe camping!
