upgrading my power plant agian

on my last trailer I modded my batteries from one 12volt to two 6 volts plumed as a 12 volt mated to another 12 volt!

so I pulled the single battery out and started the fab that has to be done to make them all fit.
the L bracket is thin by any standards so it will be replaced with 1/4" L channel steel then a 1/4" board on the bottom.
now all i need is a duel 6 volt battery box and im in business.

Is that two 6 volts batteries connected to one 12 volt battery?

Yes this is the proper way to piggyback two 6 volts 12 together making them 1 large 12 volt then connecting them as shown making a nother 12 volt in the series.

I'm new to this. What is the advantage of 2 sixes and a twelve? Why not just go with three twelves?

First off with 2 6volts is you get longer runtime on your batteries carrying 1 more 12 volt fishers me that if there is a problem with my 6 volt batteries I can still disconnected them and run off 112. Besides I have the room for them I'm going to use them

Sorry, I don't understand what your saying. Only the two 6 volt batteries are connected together and when they get low, you disconnect them and connect only the one 12 volt battery to your trailer. The picture looks like you have all three batteries connected together.

Yes Right now they are all hooked in that order.
But let's say 1 of my 6 volts has a hole or a leak in it Making me unable to use the two 6 volts As a large 12. I still have the option of on hooking both is the 6 volts and we attach ing to the one 12volt thus still having power. Options options options when your on the road that's what you need.

Here is a little good reading about wiring batteries together. Be sure to read the does and don'ts at the bottom of the page, the don't about wiring different types of batteries together.

Not the best setup hooking unlike batteries together. If you get a bad cell in one, it will drag everything down. At a minimum I would use an isolator and isolate the two 6s from the 12. Also even tho you have the room, you're adding additional weight to your rig. I would just get two good heavy duty 12s and be done with it.
