Loud water pump

I have a Keystone 2014 Hideout 27' LHS and when I turn the water on at any outlet the pump makes a very loud noise every time after 2-3 seconds. Would this be a pump issue and I need to replace it? Or can I install like a isolator pad under the pump and this would quiet it down? Thank you

I would locate the pump. Turn it on and see if it’s the pex tubing vibrating, or the pump itself. There a lot of threads about making it quieter, search using “noisy water pump”.

I hear my water pump when it runs and prefer to hear it...this way I know if there are any leaks...also don’t leave water pump or city water turned on while not around the RV.. Prevents you from coming back to an unexpected flooded RV

Good luck! I have replaced the water pump three times in my Fusion thinking it was unusually loud. All three were equally noisy though. Apparently SureFlo pumps are just loud.

What was that famous Einstein quote about repeating the same thing over and expecting different results?

Couple of things can quiet down a "noisy pump". As has been stated, it's rarely the pump itself that's noisy. Typically it's the water lines hammering wood (floor or wall) that sounds like a drum roll. 2 things you can purchase may help. 1 is a "silencing kit" which are flexible water lines for each side of the pump. Unlike rigide water lines they can be moved, tied out of the way and flex with the pump. 2 is an accumulator tank. That will keep the pump from cycling every time a small amount of water is drawn. It's a tank with a bladder inside that provides pressure but will also absorb the "shock" of the initial pump start up.
