Surge Guard 35550 VERY LOUD HUMM

I have a Surge Guard 35550 mounted in my 2019 Cougar TT. Have had it 3 years, transferred it from my last trailer. It has always made a humming noise which is normal per South Wire/Surge Guard. Humm was there but acceptable. Over the last 3 months the hum has become very loud and audible inside and outside the TT. Other campers have commented as they walk by it is that loud. Now it also has a high pitched noise also which started about two weeks ago. All connections and mounting screws are tight. NOW, here's the kicker. I have tried multiple times to contact Surge Guard by phone and have left 4 messages. Have also emailed per their instructions. No contact from them. Unit came with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Looks like it is VERY limited and I don't know who's life they refer to. Anyone have any suggestions.

One solution is to disconnect it, put it in a ditch and put it out of its misery with your favorite shotgun. Do not forget to pick up the pieces as you do not want to pollute the environment with any more plastic. JMHo.

I have contacted them in the past with no problem. The issue may be this pandemic thing and the way they have decided to handle it. It took me 2 days to contact my communications provider when I returned home first week of Aug. because they now let everyone answer incoming calls "from home" - which I guess means 2 days later.

Have you tried these numbers: 800-780-4324 x 20311 or 727-535-0572. I would provide an email but apparently their website is under construction?? They used to have one because I've referred to it many times. Good luck.

As far as the noise, it shouldn't. I've never heard one like that. Just tell them to send you a new one....when the pandemic is over???
