Trailer and truck numbers
Well i have read almost all post on 5th wheel and TV payload weights and decided it would be best to upgrade my TV. MY current numbers.
TV 2017 F250 SRW SD 6.7 Lariat
Payload is only 2097lbs with the stock tires
GVWR is 9900 lbs
Hitch is 250 lbs
Veh contents are about 500 LBS I need to go on a diet lol I make up most of that
Trailer has a pin weight of 2410 lbs and 12236 empty and loaded its will be around 15000 lbs
So with all those numbers i'm already way over
2097-750-2410 = -1063 Using unloaded pin weight.
Solution to problem to follow hopefully this coming Saturday.

Good luck on the new TV. Remember you are the buyer, the sales person needs you. Leafs are having a heck of a season!

GVWR for my 5er is 16,000 lbs so DRW was the solution for me. Probably should be in your future as well.
Thanks for using lbs in stead of kg. I’d have been dumbfounded otherwise

With a "pin weight" that high you are pretty much guaranteed to be in 350/3500 DRW territory. I hope you plans were in that direction. Good luck on the hunt for a new TV and congrats on the new trailer!

I agree, DRW truck, unless you buy a totally stripped down SRW 350 that can get you a payload number in the 4000 lbs +

But if we are being honest, that is not the truck any of us would want to drive.

Not so fast my friend. Long bed DRW was the last vehicle I wanted. Only necessitated by the RV we bought. Great towing characteristics no doubt, but pita to drive around town. Headed to New Smyrna Beach next week and not looking forward to navigating those skinny streets.

I meant the totally stripped down SRW - only one row of seating, no comforts, gas, 2wd, etc. Undesirable!

Cbrez, I can tell you from experience of dually trucks in our business that you need to LOOK FORWARD to your time. That little bit of extra width and length is not going to be a big deal. I think the apropos saying is "Don't put today's sunshine behind tomorrow's clouds."
TJO, you need to at the very least look seriously at dually trucks. I don't have a recommendation on brand, but keep an open mind. My DW has taken to it like a duck on a June bug and we know we made the right decision.

Oh, I know it's not. Most of us want something that has at least some amenities and not a totally stripped down work truck.....but, if someone despises having a dually that much, that is about the only way to do it with a SRW truck. Of course there comes a time when
The size of the trailer will be big enough that even a stripped down SRW truck won't be enough, and that is the exact reason I bought a Dually in June 2017, anticipating the day that my tow behind toy hauler would go bye-bye and a 5ver would take its place. March 1st. was that day....15,100 lbs empty....20,000 lbs GVWR. And the best part, I didn't have get a different truck to handle it, the Dually is up to task.

I also LOOK FORWARD looking in mirrors or over your shoulder while driving down narrow streets is asking for trouble. You will quickly learn just how wide the hips are.
I have said before I scared the Shi* out of a salesman test driving a Ram 3500 DRW. There is a bridge just east of McMinnvile, OR with a concrete rail right at the edge of the 10' lane. Most people even in small cars hug the center line. I drove right down the center of the lane, had at least a foot of clearance, same as with the 5er when crossing the same bridge.

Careful what you ask for TJO.
Iv'e been retired just over six years. It didn't take me long to figure out that I wanted to go back to work to get some rest.
There is always something you can get into when you "have the time". Whether it is your own stuff or helping others. Problem is when you are retired, you have the time.
Good luck with the new trailer.

KG= 2.2 lbs. so I just double whatever is listed in KG. Now liters I have zero ideas.
3.25 CM to inch? Ugg who knows
Used 10ths in excavation for years. Ok with that system. I always laugh when I hand someone my engineers tape measure. They get the funniest looks on their faces when it doesn’t read how they think it should
