Outdoor camp stove

This is in the untested phase still, but ...

Just moved up from a PUP and miss cooking outdoors. In 13 seasons I heated one kettle of water indoors in our popup and cooked on the outdoor stove the rest of the time. Not entirely willing to give it up.

Our Passport came with an outdoor grill, with a mount on the side similar to what we had on our Coleman, so I set out to replicate the Coleman stove.

I purchased a two-burner Atwood stove and mounted it in a piece of wood that I then attached to the frame used for the outdoor grill. Had to do some bending and contorting, but made it work.

Inside the stove, I removed the regulator since the flow to the grill already is low pressure. (The grill didn't have a regulator on it either.) A few brass plumbing parts let me connect it to the same hose that came with the grill.

I haven't pressure tested yet, but that should be simple enough when the camper comes out of storage out at a friend's farm.

Slightly concerned about the weight, but the similar mount easily handled a slightly smaller cooktop mod I did on the Coleman, so I'm hopeful. If it ends up too heavy, will just look for a low table and not actually attach it to the side of the camper.

Only goof I can see is not cutting the stove hole very tight. Gave myself wiggle room, since I don't have a router and used a hand jigsaw, but didn't get close enough on one corner. .

Here are some photos.

I cook outside every time. I dont want the grease inside the house. It may be a little cold towards the end of the season but i still cook outside. Haven't had a problem with rain yet.

we started with a tent then a PU a then a TT now 5er.
We are so used to cooking outside I dont know what else to do. I have two EZ-ups. one is 10X10 and the other is 12X14. I set one or the other up and then make myself a camp kitchen. I use a folding table and then have my Coleman cook stove hooked to propane bottle with a tree, my propane grill and then my coffee pot or griddle on a power outlet. I make coffee first thing and then as the family arises I make breakfast and use what I need to get it ready ASAP.
The only thing in the camper is water sometimes.

I use a Camp Chef 3 burner stove and oven. I do make pies and breads in the trailer, makes it smell good!

We followed a similar path, short of the 5er, the TT is perfect for the 2 of us and between the the outdoor kitchen and my Weber Q, with the optional griddle, I have everything I need for cooking (the outdooor kitchen has a fridge, sink & cooktop).

I just put out a couple of folding tables and am ready to.

I have an EZ-up too, just have not had to use it yet.
