Another winter storage question... :)

Anyone use reflective window coverings on the inside to help minimize sun damage to pleated window shades? Or is it better to just pull up the shades during the 5 months of winter storage? in advance.

I have the MCD shades ~~ pull down, not the pleated shades. I'd not pull the shades up during storage as the UV rays will begin to fade everything inside. Also, the sun heating through the windows then cold nights I wonder about excessive condensation. Block the sun IMO.
