Outside tv

Is there a certain type or name brand of TV that works better than most for the outside of my 5th wheel. Does one work better than the other in daylight.
Have never had one on the outside before, but am looking to get one.

All of the outside TVs I've seen are the same brand/style as the inside ones. I've seen lots of different brands and they all seem to do okay as long as it's not in bright sunlight.

Plus 1 for Chuckster.

Don't go cheap though, The mid range sets should do you well. . I like my Samsung under probably 98% of the lighting situations I've experienced. I chose to leave the pedestal base on my outsider, so I can move it around as needed, vs. a swing mount which, I feel, limits your options.

Good Luck!

I don't even know the brand names, don't think it really matters. I have one in the kitchen which works fine and I have a cheap one that I can put fireside if a game is on. Used that one Sunday and will use it again on Thurs night. It was the cheapest one I could find at Wal mart or where ever.

I bought a 39" Samsung "SMART" TV to use outside. When it is in use, the awning is extended and the TV sits on a table pushed up against the trailer. I have yet to experience any difficulties due to too much light. The trick is, it is in the shade (as am I). I would expect there to be some issues if the sun was low enough where it was shining directly under the awning. I opted for the pedestal mount instead of some type of bracket. The bracket I wanted (mounted on the ceiling of the basement, that extended and tilted/swiveled) cost way more than I was willing to spend. Using the pedestal option also allows for TV use in several different situations (mostly outside or in the garage of the stix/brix residence). My Toy Hauler is set up where I can take either the bedroom or garage TV outside and mount it on the exterior of the trailer. Both of those TVs are only 24" - I am old enough to need a bigger screen.

You should be good with almost any brand name television.

If you are running the antenna an LG is the best brand of TV to use. They have the best OTA tuner and you can MANUALLY tune a channel. As long as you know the physical transmit # you can enter it in and rotate the antenna until the channel locks, and if you want go on to the next channel. I use it all the time, after an auto tune and i don't have all the channels i can potentially get.
