Hello from Ohio

We’ve been camping for about 7 years now. We have 3 boys and started with a Popup to see how much everyone enjoyed it then moved to a Hybrid after a couple years.

We purchased a 2014 Passport 2650BH a couple years ago and love it. We are now pulling with a 2018 Nissan Armada, it tows really well.

I’ve already found some helpful hints on this forum and look forward to finding more and providing some as well.

Nick

Welcome to the forum. I'm glad that it tows well. For a 29' trailer with a gross weight of 7,200 lbs. AT GVW (fully loaded) the hitch weight including the wdh would be in excess of a 1,000 lbs. https://www.nadaguides.com/RVs/2014/.../6035960/Specs

We recently had a new member with a similar set up that realized his Armada wasn't up to the task. Towing capacity really doesn't relate to towing a big high center of gravity box where the tongue weight is about 13% of the trailer's weight. That weight rating is based on a trailer with a low center of gravity, low wind resistance and very little tongue weight.

Your vehicle's load capacity (what it will HOLD not pull) can be found on the driver's side door pillar. It's a yellow and white sticker with "The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed xxx lbs." Take a look at that sticker, get your rig weighed and stay safe.

Have a good time!
Just be safe!
That Armada is not/never was designed to be a tow vehicle, it was designed as a people mover. It may tow "really well" but it's extremely overloaded as per it's design.
That yellow/white sticker most likely has your payload about 14xx lbs, that's your RV tongue weight at nearly 1000lbs, the hitch at 100-125lbs (hopefully you have a weight distributing hitch with sway control), everybody/everything loaded in/on the Armada. With 5 people loaded up with their "must haves" plus the tongue weight you're already overloaded before you put anything in the RV.
So as a member of the "weight police" just asking you be aware & be careful with your family onboard.
