I would think that the "code" input into the system would be a great place to start. Everyone has a separate code! But I'm sure that has already been figured out.

Stealing 5ers and TTs is rare but, does happen. I have to point out the theft was done with knowing gate codes in and out. Some places issue a different code for each person. Some do not. Some change the codes from time to time and some do not. Just checking employees current and recent. Checking prior days of video might show the crooks coming and going before the crime. Might help solve the crime. If the police do the same there as here. They did not release all the information they have. Hope they get arrested soon.

Somebody has to know who this guy is. He has the gate code and knew the trailer was there so he's been there before. They should be able to run the videos from earlier in the day or the prior couple days and get better video of the truck, hopefully a plate number. Or maybe one of the employees at the staorage facility has seen him before. Sure hope they catch this slim ball.

Guess I'm fortunate that the storage we have uses as "part of the "code" the last four digits of your phone number. So it is very easy to track who has entered and exited the grounds. Obviously not every storage uses this principal. Sure hope they have their trailer returned and in the original condition it left.

I too hope for the return of the RV but I don't think it will happen. Back when I had my Jayco, I stored it behind a locked gate that required a signature to get the key. As it turned out two employees of the place where taking units and anything/everything they could stuff into them from Ca to Az and parting them out. I think mine was spared the trip because I parked it real nose high, it was 36' fiver and the batteries were not installed. I did however have my propane bottles, lines and regulator taken, along with all my hoses, extension cords and such removed from my basement. They attempted entry as evidenced by the crowbar marks on my door but since it was dead bolted the door didn't open.
I had just purchased our house the week before I discoved the theft, and needless to say, I modified my fence and side yard the next day and took my trailer home. CHP recovered some "stuff" but without proof of ownership...I don't know how many if any trailers they recovered.

It could end up anywhere. Someone could be living in it behind a fence in a less than desirable part of town. Or it could be on a ranch with hired help living in it. No one would ever see it again.
There was a TT stolen nearby a few years ago, sorta out in the country. Problem was, the owner was inside, armed. Shots fired going down the road. Ended well as I recall. Arrests.

The above post is great.... I had one stolen myself never recovered. This happens more than you know. we had video and everything still no arrest. I had hitch locks and no battery to jack it up and they still stole it. Now I have much more security to work through and tracking. My hope is they look at my rig and dont want the hassle so go elsewhere. Best of luck to those in Texas I hope the can prosecute someone for this crime.

Just an idea.
If you have an old phone, pay the $10 a month for the data fee, don't have it hooked up as a phone. Plug it in and put it away somewhere. If your RV comes up missing, just track the phone and you can locate it. Cheaper than Low Jack.
Last year some kids stole my truck, it had my brief case in it with my iPad. I tracked my iPad as it traveled from Houston to Florida, waiting for them to stop somewhere long enough I could call the local Sherriffs department. Sure enough, when they got to Florida, they stopped for a while. I called the county Sherriff and they went and got my truck back.
Funny thing is, I could tell they were playing with the iPad, fully unaware that it was giving away their location.
Sad thing is, with my deductible, the missing cash from my brief case, and some missing items such as my GPS and a few other things, I was out about $1,800. One of the thieves was released after a week in jail, the other one got 3 years probation and a $300 fine. But, I did get my truck back.

The justice system sounds about the same as here in Canada. Very lenient.
