There are multiple Red/Black wires. One has power on it and one does not. Neither are part interrupted. I have cut 2 holes in search of the correct wires or label with no luck. Is anyone familiar with the solar prewired set-up of this or similar model of Outback ? Dave
P.S. The solar ports on the roof have no power on them, but the port on the side of the trailer does have 13.7VDC. I connected a tone generator to the roof ports, but can not find the tone anywhere in the storage compartment.

Yep, so on my 30RKD there was a black box next to the autolevel controller that had a set of RED/BLACK and a 14/2 Romex tied off. By default the RED/BLACK is a direct battery connection to the jacks on the roof. If you cut the red/black wires there, you'll end up with a pair of red/black going to the battery and one pair going to the roof.
What I did was cut the wires and then see which two wires had 12V on them. That was my battery connection. The remaining wires went to the roof, which I verified by plugging in a current-limited source to the roof jacks and measuring it below.
The Romex is there to install an inverter if you want to put it there. It's the same kind of deal where if you cut it, you'll end up with a connection back to the breaker panel and one out to the three outlets that are held up by the inverter.
This may not be the same way it is set up on yours, but I would venture a guess that if you have a red/black pair there that does not have power on it, it's likely the connection to the roof jack.
Can you post some pictures of what you have?
