Water pump was burping, not shutting off - solved it
So my water pump was not shutting off, but I found the issue - the toilet was running constantly.
I replaced the check valve with one I found on Amazon (the toilet is a Thetford Aqua Magic IV), and that stopped the toilet running too much.
There was still a lot of burping from the faucets. I replaced all the aerators and voila! Problem solved. Now my water runs well, and the pump shuts off properly at the right time.
Why am I saying all this? I don't know, I'm just excited my crapwagon toy hauler is slowly but surely starting to function correctly.
In other news I also cleaned up the fan blades and air filter and now the air-con works correctly too.

There is a sense of self satisfaction when you fix something. Sounds like your getting your “crap wagon” is getting less crappy.

Hopefully you love that crap wagon. It’s nice when you can work through the little problems and get everything working well. I’ve had my Alpine for 10 years and haven’t had to do anything other than routine maintenance for 9 years. It’s getting old enough now that I am looking at having to replace some worn out stuff, just hoping that I can have another 10 years of good luck after I make some upgrades.

Congratulations on another satisfactory repair!
I'm absolutely amazed that you still have a functioning POS Thetford toilet in a 21-22 year old rv! The Thetford POS toilet in my last 5er became target practice for my son's new Beretta after all the issues it had in only a year, replaced with a Dometic 310 that 110% better toilet.

^^^ What Danny said... Thetford POS or POC toilets are just that... IMO, they belong IN the holding tank (to be flushed down the sewer) rather than used as a "throne"... They are the worst toilets I've ever had the pleasure of relying on... That said, they are "reliable"... You KNOW they'll fail soon !!!!!
