Rooftop AC Maintainance

One of the most challenging appliances to maintain is the rooftop AC unit, included in this post is a PDF file from the now defunct "Keystone RV Camping Group" that I saved before they went under and have now made it available to you so that you can know what to look for and what to do when maintaining your rooftop AC unit, I thought that the article was very well written and easy to understand. You can download the file here:

Rooftop AC Maintainance; filters

Flyguy,
Where can I purchase replacement filters for my rooftop AC unit? My unit is similar to the one in this article. I tried looking in the owners manual, but nothing is mentioned. I tore the original vacuuming the dust and am still using it. Thanks, JW

The filter is nothing special, it's just a piece of cheap foam, you might find some of that foam at Wal-Mart, just get a big enough piece and cut it to fit, also CW has some nice replacements (none of which fit mine), I would have to buy the large one and (guess what) cut it to fit. Happy hunting!
